German filmmaker G.W. Pabst and Hollywood expatriate Louise Brooks re-team after the success of Pandora’s Box for the silent film Diary of a Lost Girl. After falling pregnant to a pharmacist and refusing to marry, a young woman (Louise Brooks) is thrown from her home and sent to a strict girls’ reform school.
