Circle Cinema Sandbox returns Tuesday 5/13 for another night of creativity, collaboration, and cold reads! Whether you’re a writer, actor, or simply a lover of live storytelling, Sandbox is a free monthly event where Tulsa’s creative community gathers to bring fresh scripts to life.
About the Event: Hosted by actor, director, and writer P.J. Sosko, Circle Cinema Sandbox is a unique opportunity for writers to hear their work performed by local actors in front of a live audience. Each month, six scripts (10 pages max) are selected and read on stage with no rehearsal—just pure, instinctive performance and creative energy. The result is an inspiring peek into the writing process and how stories evolve through collaboration.
How to Participate:
Writers: Submit your 10-page script (short or excerpt) to soskopj@gmail.com for a chance to be selected.
Actors: Arrive at 7:00pm to be considered for live casting and script reads.
Audience Members: Doors open at 7:30pm for free staged readings—no RSVP needed!
Schedule:
7:00pm: Actor call and script prep
7:30pm: Live staged readings begin
Concessions will be available—so grab some popcorn and a drink and settle in for a night of creativity!
Meet the Host – P.J. Sosko: P.J. Sosko brings over 20 years of experience across film, TV, stage, and voiceover. His work spans national campaigns, award-winning indie films, and standout stage performances like One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and The Girls on the Bus (MAX). He’s also a passionate supporter of emerging writers and artists, making Sandbox a true labor of love.
