About the film: "Comanche Academy: A Healing Journey" follows a group of Comanche educators in Lawton, OK as they open an Indigenous charter school to reclaim their nation. In doing so, they confront the deep generational impact caused by boarding schools. With less than ten fluent Comanche speakers left, the urgent challenge of securing a permanent home for the school has never been greater.
