This special edition of Circle Cinema Sandbox, hosted by PJ Sosko, features live script readings themed around Route 66 in celebration of the highway's centennial. Local band the Drowning Raccoons will provide live music throughout the readings. Sandbox is free to attend, with no ticket or fest pass required.

The Sandbox at Circle Cinema is a live, creative session built for writers, actors, and anyone who loves the energy of stories in progress. Hosted at Tulsa’s Circle Cinema, this free monthly event brings fresh scripts to life through live cold reads performed by local actors in front of an audience. Writers may submit short scripts or excerpts (up to 10 pages), and selected pieces are read on stage with no rehearsal—creating an exciting, spontaneous environment where storytelling, collaboration, and discovery happen in real time. It’s part workshop, part performance, and all about giving creatives a place to test material, hear it out loud, and connect with Tulsa’s artistic community.
