RUN TIME
Join us in commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day with FREE documentary screenings and an Oklahoma WWII veteran memorabilia display in the lobby courtesy Keith Myers Traveling Military Museum. Romney Nesbitt, portrait artist, will also be in the lobby drawing veterans on Thursday, June 6th from 1:00-6:30 p.m. Each 9 x 12” drawing takes about twelve minutes and portraits are drawn first-come first-served. There is no charge for the portrait.
Nominated for the Best Documentary Feature Oscar in 1994, "D-Day Remembered" is a powerful recounting of the invasion of Normandy in World War II, using rare archival films and pictures from British, American, and German archives. The narrator provides the overall continuity, but the voices of over 50 participants who were involved in the staging of the invasion in Britain or were on the beaches of France bring the images to life.
Thank you to all of our Veterans and Armed Service members! If you can't make the screenings, watch a video of a recent D-Day Remembered program below.
