RUN TIME

The life and legacy of Clu Gulager, actor and Holdenville native, will be honored at a special event on what would have been his 94th birthday. The evening begins with a reception at 5:30pm with special guests including Holdenville mayor John Massad and live music by the Jacob Tovar band with bassist Paul Wilkes from Holdenville. “The Killers” (1964), one of Clu’s favorite films from his career, screens at 7:00pm. Tickets are regular price.

Clu was inducted into Circle’s Oklahoma Walk of Fame in 2013. An interview with Clu from that ceremony will play before the film, followed by a special video message from Clu’s family. Clu was born in Holdenville in 1928 and was a proud member of the Cherokee Nation. He made his mark on Hollywood, with beloved roles in series like “The Virginian” and films like “The Last Picture Show,” “Return of the Living Dead,” and “Vic.” He was above all else a family man, and is dearly missed after his passing earlier this year.
