Bella, where the hell have you been, loca?
Native Cringe Night with Rez Film Club is back! Join us on Thu 11/19, 7pm at Circle Cinema for a FREE screening of Twilight: New Moon on 35mm film. All admission to Rez Film Club events are FREE and open to the public, plus one FREE small popcorn for each person!
We're taking a look at a missed opportunity at accurate and authentic Indigenous representation, cheering the Native icons in the cast (Chaske Spencer, Graham Greene, Gil Birmingham, Kiowa Gordon) and jeering some cringe-worthy stereotypes throughout the film.
Rez Film Club is presented by the Native Circle Advisory Board at Circle Cinema and proudly sponsored by the Flint Family Foundation and Cherokee Film.
