Our Commitment to Inclusion

Dear Circle Cinema Community,

We commit to eliminating racism, bias, and bigotry. The following commitments guide our organization as we more inclusively align with our mission statement: to use film to foster understanding and appreciation of the diversity of the human experience and create community among the viewers in the restored historic Circle Cinema.

We commit to listen.

As an organization, it is most important that we first open our ears, sit back, and listen to the perspectives of everyone.

We commit to a diverse board and team to foster inclusive workplace culture.

All are welcome at Circle Cinema! We commit to reflecting this value through a diverse board and team comprised of people from a variety of backgrounds.

We commit to diversifying our sphere of influence.

We commit to transparently working with more diverse voices to guide our programming, events, and relationships to ensure that we represent all people equitably.

We commit to transparency and accountability.

We will publish an annual impact report for our community investors, partners, and sponsors with data showing our value to the community.

We commit to diversity, equity, and inclusion training.

At Circle Cinema, we are committed to participate regular training on diversity, equity, and inclusion each year team, volunteers, board, and  will receive regular training on diversity, equity, and inclusion.

These commitments are important to us in building relationships in our community. We do not want to minimize the scope of that journey, and want to maximize our opportunities to build a better community together. We invite all reading this commitment to reflect on how they too can work to eliminate racism in their sphere of influence.

Together we can be the inclusion of our diversities!
