People Like You, People Like Me
English | Thriller, Drama | 4m 17s | Directed by: Jo Shaw
Synopsis: Megan, who's always felt neglected and overlooked by her cooler, more traditional sister, can't stand Jess's final betrayal.
Director Biography: A passionate filmmaker and storyteller with experience in screenwriting, directing, and producing short films, Jo Shaw specializes in crafting thought-provoking narratives that explore human nature, relationships, and unique perspectives through dynamic visual storytelling. Creating student led, no budget films, Jo raises powerful moral questions with her work and encourages people to see the world more critically.
Director Statement: When I began writing this film, I had a very clear idea of who was the "bad guy." However, when moving through the process of editing and production, I realized that the answer of who was the "bad guy" was much more complicated than I first believed it to be. This film ultimately reflects the reality of human relationships: There's not always a bad guy. Sometimes the blame falls on everyone, and sometimes no one at all. That's what I believe is so beautiful about this film, is that it recognizes the complex nuance of perspective.
