Act of Violence - Noir Nights with Josh Fadem

SHOWTIMES

Mon 4/15: 7:00p

Noir Nights with Josh Fadem presents a special 35mm screening in April! See Oklahoma’s own Van Heflin in the 1948 classic “Act of Violence.” One night only, tickets $11 members, $13 non-members for 35mm shows. $5 mystery film screenings will return next month. Preview the Noir Night fun with the video below, featuring Josh's intro from a previous screening!

“Act of Violence” was originally released in 1948 and follows an embittered, vengeful POW who stalks his former commanding officer that betrayed his men's planned escape attempt from a Nazi prison camp. The film will screen on Tulsa's only operational 35mm reel-to-reel projector complete with all the grain, cigarette burns, and original audio track. As it is an older print of the film expect some occasional scratches and speckles, but those imperfections are part of what makes screening on physical film so special.

About Noir Nights: Tulsa born actor, comedian, and Film Noir enthusiast Josh Fadem (“Better Call Saul,” “Twin Peaks,” “Reservation Dogs”) hosts a monthly night of his favorite vintage crime films. Enjoy dark alleys, sassy women, hired killers, crooked cops, heists gone wrong, obsessed detectives, and suburban fatigue.
