Circle’s Native Spotlight Series sponsored by the Flint Family Foundation returns for a special short film program during the festival! Includes special introductions from the filmmakers or subjects of the film, plus a complimentary post-film reception catered by Tricia Fields' Autumn Star Catering.

“Lady Red Warriors” A story about the rise of the Oklahoma Choctaw Nation women's stickball team. Dir. Mark D. Williams (Choctaw).

“Ehute-vpohyvuke (Homesick)” Contemporary Mvskoke Joshua Garrett artist discusses the spiritual journey through his work to reconcile his people's history and mythology. Dir. Wilson Stiner.

“Waya, Saving Our Red Grandfather” Learn about the tribal connection and how conservationists are working to save the Red Wolf from extinction. Dir. Jennifer Loren (Cherokee).

“Chasing Thunder” A behind the scenes look at the world premiere of Distant Thunder, the first Native American written and produced musical as it comes to life at the First American Museum. Dir. Lance McDaniel.

“Meet Me at the Creek” Encore presentation, follows Rebecca Jim, a Cherokee Nation citizen and Waterkeeper Warrior, as she leads the effort to restore Tar Creek. Dir. Loren Waters (Cherokee/Kiowa)
