This month, saddle up for Tom Mix and Tony the Wonder Horse in A Child of the Prairie, with the Tom Mix Museum set up in the lobby before the film for a rootin’-tootin’ good time. Tom Mix served as the Sheriff of Dewey, OK before making it big as a cowboy star in Hollywood, and the Museum will have memorabilia from his career on display with Museum staff in period costume. Tom Mix's grandson, Gordon Hill, will also be in attendance as a special guest.

As always, guests can win tickets to Tulsa Spotlight Theater’s production of The Drunkard and the Olio, and this year we’re sweetening the pot with two horseback riding lessons from Hedlund Dressage for two lucky winners.

The Second Saturday Silent Series invites you to can experience movies like they did a hundred years ago with authentic accompaniment on a vintage theatre pipe organ. The movie accompaniment will be played by Bill Rowland, and walk-in music by Mike Huffman on the Circle Cinema's original 1928 instrument.

Tickets just $8 adults, $5 kids, with support from the American Theatre Organ Society Sooner State Chapter, Tulsa Spotlight Theater, and Arts Alliance Tulsa.

About the film: Tom Mix starred and directed this silent western, also featuring his faithful companion Tony the Wonder Horse. It follows the story of Prairie Nell, adopted by wolf hunters after being lost on the prairie, and her father Tom's return to settle past wrongs.
