Join us for the debut of Okie Film Nights at Circle Cinema presented by Experience Tulsa! This new monthly series celebrates Oklahoma’s rich film history past and present, and kicks off with the 1949 boomtown classic “Tulsa.”
Billed as a technicolor saga of ‘tempestuous loves, lusty adventures, and violent hates,’ the film stars Susan Hayward and Robert Preston. After a rancher dies during a feud with a major oil company, his daughter, driven by revenge, starts digging for oil herself. Tulsa Historical Society will be in attendance to give a special introduction to the film and talk about the record-breaking crowd of 100,000 that packed downtown for the film’s premiere, and have a display of photos from the event plus an original poster from the film.
Tickets are just $2 for Circle Members and $5 general admission, don’t miss a fun evening of classic film and T-town history!
