Route 66 Series: Easy Rider

Circle Cinema invites you to get your flix on Route 66 at a special monthly film series celebrating the centennial throughout 2026! The series continues in March with "Easy Rider" on Sat 3/21, 3pm. Tickets on sale now, $6.60 for Circle members and $10 non-members.

Each screening will feature opportunities for guests to learn about other centennial events happening around the country, share stories and memories with other Route 66 fans, and see classic clips, ads, and travelogues on the before the main feature begins. A full schedule of films will be available in the coming months.

Nominated for two Oscars, Dennis Hopper’s directorial debut feature remains one of the quintessential road movies. Many of the scenes were filmed along stretches of Route 66 as two bikers (Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper) wind their way from L.A. to New Orleans through the open country and desert lands. On their journey, they experience bigotry and hatred from the inhabitants of small-town America and also meet with other travelers seeking alternative lifestyles as they wonder if they will ever find a way to live peacefully in America.
